You may know Dr Kevin Fitzgerald as the star of Animal Planet’s "Emergency Vets," but there is much more to him than what has been seen on television. In addition to his duties as a full-time veterinarian and a large number of speaking engagements on the lecture circuit, Dr Fitzgerald has also been performing stand-up comedy on an almost nightly basis since 1986. He is a regular at the famed Comedy Works in Denver, one of the top ten clubs in the country. His rapid paced, one-liner style, combined with his ability to entertain without offending, have made him a highly requested act at clubs, colleges and corporate events throughout the country.

Kevin has had the privilege of opening in concert for such legendary performers as Diana Ross and Bob Hope. While these experiences may have intimidated many entertainers, Dr Fitzgerald has a long history of working with some of the biggest stars in the world. Prior to attending vet school, Kevin was a bouncer for none other than The Rolling Stones. In fact he was on tour with the band when he had a conversation with Keith Richards regarding his future. "When someone like Keith Richard’s tells you to go back to school and make something of yourself you listen." Kevin did. The rest is history. Now when Kevin works a concert it is either as a headline comedian or as the opening act for bands like The Neville Brothers, Emmy Lou Harris, The Corrs and The Temptations to name a few. He has appeared at such prestigious venues as The Grand ‘Ol Oprey and The House of Blues. You may also have seen him on NBC’s Nightly News with Tom Brokaw, The Maury Povich Show, A&E’s Comedy on the Road, TNN’s Crooke and Chase or as host of HBO’s "Women of the Night." He has also been featured on top-rated, nationally syndicated radio shows including Howard Stern and Paul Harvey.

Kevin’s likeability on stage combined with the national recognition which he has received from "Emergency Vets," has helped make him a favorite on the corporate entertainment circuit. He has performed for hundreds of organizations in every state in the country, continually receiving rave reviews. His performance includes topics ranging from current events to hilarious on-the-job stories.

In June of 2002, Kevin was selected by People Magazine as one of "The Top 50 Most Eligible Bachelors in America," joining the likes of George Clooney and Ben Affleck. Kevin responded in his typical humble way, "There’s 3,000 guys in Denver alone who should be on that list ahead of me." He likens his good fortune to that of Forrest Gump, always in the right place at the right time.

Despite his busy schedule and being fortunate enough to make a living doing two jobs that he truly enjoys, Dr Fitzgerald has recently taken on yet another project, a variety show. Billed as "The Love Show," Kevin and his brother John have assembled a diverse group of talented entertainers that put on a live show that is not soon to be forgotten. Performing to sold-out crowds in the Rocky Mountain Region, this vaudevillian-style show is sure to leave a smile on your face. "It’s got something for everyone," says Kevin "and besides, who needs to laugh more than us?"
