Margaret Cho burst onto the scene in 1994 with her sitcom All American Girl, and has since become one of the most prolific and critically acclaimed comedians of our time. In 1999 her groundbreaking one-woman show, I'm The One That I Want chronicled her legendary struggles on the sitcom, and became a best selling book and a concert film. Her 2001 "Notorious C.H.O." tour culminated in a sold-out show at Carnegie Hall, and in 2004, the CD of her "Revolution" tour was nominated for a Grammy. In 2005, Cho took her "Assassin" tour through the US, Canada and Australia. A revamp of her "State of Emergency" tour of the swing states of the 2004 Presidential election (hailed as "Murderously Funny!" by the NY Times), "Assassin" was her most political work to date.
In 2008, thirteen years after her catastrophic foray into television, Margaret returned to TV in the Vh1 series, The Cho Show Described as a ’reality sit-com,’ the series followed Margaret, her real parents, and her eccentric entourage through a series of experiences shaped by her ‘anything goes’ brand of stand-up.
